Experience- Does that Really Matter?

Do you know the difference between education and experience? Education is what you read in fine print, experience is what you get when you do not imply it !!!

People like us are using words such as expertise, moxie, proficient, savvy, skilly, etc… what does that really mean? Let's start from scratch. For example, A quack can perform but you need a surgeon for an operation, A lecture can teach but you opt for a professor for tutoring your child, You can lead a team but you need a captain to command.

From the above 3 examples, it can be noted that you need age factor, skill, intellect with a resourceful environment to perform the job assigned to you to become an experienced person. But how do you define experience? It is defined as Experience is a type of knowledge or skill in a particular job or activity you have gained through repeated action.

Let’s take an example where experience dethroned the expensive one. Back in 2021, CSK the  Undisputed king of  IPL bagged the trophy for the fourth time against all the odds. When they formulate their team most of the players are 30 above so they are tagged as’ DADS ARMY’. But the thing which helps them to achieve the wizard is ‘EXPERIENCE’. This is a kind of thing which you can not buy from any online shopping site or supermarket, and you also can not afford it if you don’t intend to.

Experience is the type of human intelligence that is inevitable in everyone’s life lesson.  You only get this if you perform something, until and unless you are doing something and expect to get some experience. It will not happen because this is only available when you fail, demotivated, braked, ripped, torn, unsuccessful. So these characteristics make this word so special. There is a saying “ anyone can hold the helm when the sea is calm but you need the experience to hold the helm when devastating weather is in the sea”. Another saying is that “ practice makes a man perfect ‘’ whether in math exam or in cricket field you just need to practice the act in order to get the desired result, but practicing and doing is not the same thing as in practice you don’t get that practical environment to express your talent. You can practice for 10 hours on the ground but until you go outside to play a tournament you won’t really learn. When experiencing things we all make mistakes and making mistakes, in the broad scheme of things is good as long as we learn from them. But all the lessons taught by experience are not unpleasant, whether they are pleasant or not we just have to be honest to ourselves in order to teach from the mistake as honesty pays in long run and that temperament breeds happiness, that hard work brings success and vice versa. Unpleasant experience gives us sorrow but it also provides courage to move on.

It is true that classroom teaching has no substitute, but to some different extent, practical experience of that theory is equally important. Because by doing that, we will be mature enough through repetitive action. Another thing is that experience helps you to do things effectively with minimal effort.

The best thing about experience is that it makes you calm and quiet under pressure because you know it can be handled by your experience. Experience is learning from everything from every aspect of life. It is however unfortunate that some of us learn this lesson very late. So at last but not least the finding is that Experience is a good teacher but expensive to afford.
